I always found that on the VC-10 they'd shoved everything too much to the back, engines, tail, the wings, the lot.
The Caravelle which started the trend of putting the stuff at the back still looked OK (ah, that Comet nose).
Apart from our "White Lady", which is 'hors concours' anyway, I still prefer the Connie.
