I have to agree about Canada. Booming minerals & energy economy and a lack of a Trade Deficit. With the US economy heading the other way, and, it'll be heading that way for a long time... the Canadian dollar is on a rocket-ride to gold. What the ME has for the Antipodeans, which Canada doesn't, is the tax status. For the investment punters out there who aren't in a hurry to head back home, it's still worth digging your castle in the sand pit for some time to come.
