Tigerschmitts And Stampes
The gang of four, (instructors Les Thompson, Alan Pearson, Paul Bash and Ron Pill), at the Canberra Aero Club, ca 1958, called our DH82s, (VH-BEU and VH-FBU), "Tigerschmitts".
It was probably Dick Nell from Goulburn who turned on the magic at Jamestown. Still going strong, he and Margaret rocked up to the AAAA weekend at Echuca in May in BVU and gave us a display of smoothness and grace. (In contrast to Pip Boorman's snarling show pony on steroids. 'Orses f' courses.)
