Yield is the thing here on the ABZSVG route I think, or potential yield! Which is why so many vie for space to operate it. As WB said, T3 may be hopeful that they can kick someone else off it, thus gaining a lucrative foothold.

Doubt X9 can be kicked off, as they have been quite clever & linked SVG with other Norwegian centres after the ABZ flights arrive there. They make their dosh on the ABZ-SVG leg, then SVG to the next destination.

I think SAS Norway will probably stay on the route, businessmen like the luxury of the jet (737), so I reckon T3 will be hopeful of kicking Wideroe (DH8) where it hurts. (Wideroe though are themselves increasing SVGABZ, so will be interesting to see how this pans out).

Meanwhile how does ABZFAE sound on a JS41?
