I'd appreciate any info on cheap hire rates around the Southampton region.
As an aside it may be worth suggesting to 'The Powers That Be' to have a sub forum where folks can post up their cheapest local hire rates.

something akin to
www.petrolprices.com where there is a database of petrol prices. All you do is pop in your postcade and hey presto, the cheapest fuel prices arrive on your screen as if by magic.
Creating a database of hourly rates should be simple enough. In fact I'd be surprised if it doesnt exist already......
