Has anybody here seen the YouTube clip about the retiree in Dallas who has turned up at the local airport at 6.00 a.m.
every day for over a year now to welcome the troops home from Iraq/Afghansitan? It's got to the point now where school groups now sometimes join him, and the looks on the faces of the servicemen and women as they walk past these groups is quite something to see.
I'm afraid I just can't see the same thing ever happening in the UK or Ozmate. It just doesn't appear to be in our current national psyches - and even if someone wanted to do it, you could almost guarantee that some *** Jobsworth would find it infringed some obscure rule and move him on.
