After some minutes of advertising for the RAF (Join a UAS, you'll enjoy it! try a bursary, it's worth it!)
What a pile of ignorant ****e! Did you not consider that maybe this "advertising" which the nasty AFCO subjected you to was perhaps sound advice? Did it not occur to you that applying to join a UAS might indeed be fun, as well as being a well-worn path into the RAF? Did it never cross your mind that getting a Bursary would give you cash as well as a guaranteed place in the RAF? From the RAF's point of view, why would a uni student who's allegedly keen to join the RAF on graduation not want to be on a UAS or get a Bursary?
Besides, would the AFCO really be doing their jobs if a uni student rang up asking how to join and the AFCO staff decided not to mention the existence of the UASs and Bursary scheme? How dare they waste the time of people who ring up wanting information with well-informed suggestions as to the best route for that person to take?
