ItsaWingthing, I've phoned an AFCO a few days ago to ask the same question; When to apply when I'm at Uni...

After some minutes of advertising for the RAF (Join a UAS, you'll enjoy it! try a bursary, it's worth it!), they recomended applying a year before the end of my course... after year 2 in my case (unless I go for that sadwich year...).

Anyway, I'm not saying you should apply after year 2, I'm saying you should phone an AFCO.

Alex... why don't you try PPRuNe (did I get it right, shemy? ) in a year or 2, that's when you're supposed to worry about the RAF, not now.
