The airport's reluctance to deal with Warwick District planning authority in submitting a new application might have something to do with one of their most vociferous opponents now being chair of the planning authority. If they have to return for another bash at planning permision I'd like to see them try for a reintroduction of the outline planning permission that was allowed to lapse. It would be interesting to see what justification the planners could give for turning down an identical application to something that had previously been granted.
The idea of a terminal within the juristiction of the Coventry planning authority has been mooted although somewhat tongue in cheek, there's certainly plenty of development land in close proximity to the airport boundary that falls within Coventry.
