Well, they sent me off in one at 200 hours after only flying a Sioux, so it can't be that bad! Admittedly that was after a full Army course.
Great to fly, it was one of the few machines that exactly suited my style of flying. Autos are fast - if you throw a manhole cover out before you start, you will be on the ground before the manhole cover! (only joking, but it was a real culture shock after the Sioux! May be different after a Robbie
)
I'd say go for it if you can. You don't get many chances to fly classic aircraft
