There is
a thread in the ATC forum which has developed into a 'debate' on just how subsidised living in HM Forces is/was. Now perhaps I'm totally way out on my recall of what the AFPRB used to say about the standards of accomodation and costs of food etc. in the late 90's. For that reason I'd be very grateful if any oldies (like me) could put finger to keyboard and comment on the difference between On Base living (and costs) and the comparable civil market. My recollection is that the AFPRB were not hugely impressed, but I could well be mistaken.
