If they use the cash to improve the pay conditions and quality of security people, I would have more confidence. I wouldn't choose to fly behind the cheapest pilot, nor to be operated on by the cheapest surgeon. Why, then, do we expect to be properly safeguarded by security people on £4.50 per hour?
