The airport management have now formally lodged their appeal to the High Court against the verdict of the last planning inquiry, on the grounds that the conduct of that inquiry was legally flawed. If the high court agrees sections of the inquiry would have to be re run. No date has yet been set for the hearing. The suspicion is that this could all take a very long time!
