If it is for people fresh out of high school, i would imagine their requirements would have to be very low because all the highly educated people obviously go through Qantas. Therefor not leaving REX with much.
Mr Tos,
As a very small percentage of applicants for QF Cadets are succesful, there will still be plenty of quality people availabl for Rex. In fact, as they seem to be offering a substantial subsidy to the training, some may well prefer Rex to QF.
As to those worried about low time guys being in the RHS of Metros and Saabs, all over the world graduate Cadets occupy the RHS pf Jets in Airline service, and often get commands four or five years later.
It's a different philosophy, but think about this- where's the best place to get experience:- As PIC of a single, unsupervised, in small, less structured companies with paying Pax on board, or as number two with a very experienced Captain looking after you?
