I really don't want to play Devils advocate here
As for the endless debate about which airport is best we can all throw in different factors to support one airport or the other. I could mention that it’s now 23.15 but looking at the live information board at the station I can see there are 12 train arrivals in the next 2 hours. At Stansted there are just 4 but then Stansted is a branch line service with a long journey time serving just 2 London Stations. On the other hand Luton has a direct rail service to 30 London Stations.
A pro Stansted supporter could mention that Stansted does have easy access to the terminal. The frustrating thing at Luton is that it would not take large sums of money to change the road layout and drop off area. Also a year or two ago the airport did trial a flexi bus for the trip to the station, which made a huge difference to the comfort of passengers.
On a positive note, today saw the first concrete poured for the new cargo apron
