I really don't want to play Devils advocate here . . . . Yes, I do!! At the end of the day LTN is way past capacity, people can talk all they like about additional taxiways etc, but LTN is a regional airport and the only logical alternative is an "Airport in Essex". 2 mile long runway, easy access ( has anyone recently observed the un-controlled chaos in the 'cul-d-sac'), and a BAA owned land area that is 50% bigger than LGW. LTN is a really good airport in the Lorraine Chase view and Silverjet are going to add another dimension, but otherwise . . . .
