Caution Flak on EGLL 27R

I was proceeding along the A4 in an Easterly direction admiring the precision final approach spacing when I am sure that everytime one of the winged beasts passed inside Hounslow numerous fireworks were fired. Then there would be a 70 second pause in said display (equating to a 3 mile gap) and they would start up again.
These were not little 50 foot back garden jobbies, but big Disneyland like 500 foot projectiles.
Bit early for the 5th of November, but it looked very hairy, couldn't comment if it is dangerous or not - maybe just stupid. But surely something could be done about it?
Anyway watch out for the next few weeks - not only Guy Fawkes night.
