The declared max rate is 32/hr but we have achieved more. It isn't just the infrastructure that decides this but the airspace and the interaction with our SIDs and those of other London airports so merely putting the parallel taxiways in isn't the only answer. There are plans afoot to deconflict our routes with others.
Still, after 40 years and 100 days I work my last shift tomorrow and disappear into retirement obscurity . . .
