I have spoken to both Colin and Alistair many times on the R/T and one thing he never did was take risks whilst flying....he was one of the sensible ones and would always make radio contact with Scottish whenever practicle....how many fly around at these low levels and dont bother their shirt???
I have spoken to a few of his fellow flyers and they all said although Colin was crazy at times in the rally car his approach to flying was total total caution and very professional.
He will be a voice sadly missed on 119.875.....god bless
