I have been given a form asking for 5 to 10 years of info re:addresses ive lived at, parents addresses, criminal convictions and so on. Whilst I dont have anything I can think of thats a concern for the most part, I am concerned it is asking about whether I have had any defaults on credit.
After I spilt with my ex about 7 or 8 years back, she re-negged paying her share of the credit we had, most of which was in my name, and before I knew it i had a host of demands and short settled some stuff and had some accounts written off. Id imagine these would be classed as defaults, although I never incurred any CCJs.
Does anybody know if this will mean I will not be allowed to become an officer, intel or otherwise? I have a mortgage and other credit now & have paid everything ive had, on time, for over 5 years.
Insider knowledge or guidance from anyone in the know would be appreciated!!
