First of all I must say that this is not intended as a flaming of the student concerned who, BEagle says, has had many difficulties to overcome and has done very well to do so. It is also not intended as a flaming of his FI.
This thread is currently running in Private Flying and many of us have expressed various concerns and opinions about many aspects of the trip, paperwork and, to some extent, quality of the instruction and supervision of the student involved.
