The requirement will be for a number of captains on both aircraft, with a number of bases, including specified base in CDG and LAX for A340 captains and Shanghai for A330 captains. The contract will be for a period of 3 years renewable.
Qualifications required:-
5,000 hours Total Time
Qualified PIC on Airbus 330 or 340
ICAO licence
Current type rating on ATP licence / first class medical
Fluency in English Language
LPC within last six months.
No accidents/incidents/criminal record.
The Airline will accept A320 captains who require recurrent or CCQ training subject to the cost of US$32000 CCQ training fee paid in advance by individual A320 captains which will be reimbursed in full having completed two years service with the Airline.
Brief details are as follows:
Airline China Eastern
Position A330 & A340 Captains
Duration 3 years (extendable)
Commencement Date To be confirmed, subject to pilots assessment
and medical exam in China
Operational Base A330 in Shanghai; A340 LAX and CDG
Fee payable US$ 7200 for initial training period and US$9000 per month thereafter (US$120 per hour with guaranteed 75 hours per month)
Block hours per month 75 hours, more hours for A330 captains based in Shanghai if preferred
Working pattern and off days 28 days annual leave, 2 return tickets are provided to China Eastern destinations
Maximum 10 days paid annual sick leave (30 days if hospitalized)
Maximum 5 days paid annual other emergency leave
8 off days per month, return tickets provided to China Eastern destinations.
Return tickets provided for start/finish contract 100kg luggage permitted
Accommodation Provided for A330 captains based in shanghai, on-duty accommodation provided in LA and Paris.
Transport Positioning flights and ground transport for operational purposes provided
Flight pay As per China Eastern own crew member. e.g.
US$180 from Shanghai to LAX

A technical examination and medical is taken in the first instance, at the same time as the airline conduct their interviews (shanghai).
