I thought Moderators were there to moderate? Like newsreaders, they shouldn't have opinions on the content

I'm free to expresss my opinion, but not to censor accordingly - your thread remains open because even though it does not interest me personally, others may wish to discuss it.

As an aside, It seeems to me that your thread would generate more discussion if you widened the topic, rather than narrowing it to a specific incident on a specific flight. "What best to do when you are unable to hear/understand a safety PA?" and so on. At the moment, all we have is a comment that you couldn't hear a PA properly one morning - on its' own, hardly a world-mover. You've chosen to draw some conclusions from that PA that are in my view, highly speculative.
  • The pilot had not had sufficient sleep
  • The pilot couldn't be bothered to speak
  • The Cabin Crew had just got out of bed
  • The Crew had enjoyed a night on the town.
  • EZ have lower standards than other carriers

Anyway, for those that want it, the thread remains open.

P.S. Chuffer - a word to the wise - don't get too excited about your new best buddy strake who may not be quite as wonderful as he seems and who is presently enjoying a well-deserved short vacation from this forum.
