Sunfish: thanks! Being ex-military can you give any safe, simple pointers to those of us who are gun-ignorant please? Are there any checks that can be simply made beyond those outlined in the original post or in your post? And I agree: my attitude has always been if they ain't prepared to
prove the weapon is safe, then neither they nor the weapon fly.
