I would have thought that pilots giving unintelligible PAs is an important issue.
It gives a very poor impression to passengers and does not help to reassure them that those at the controls are on the ball and, well, awake.
As for easyJet, the previous poster is wholly incorrect to suggest that standards are lower.
On a recent easyJet flight back from Palermo to Gatwick, the captain made an informative, calm, measured, professional PA (despite it being past bedtime for all on board) which impressed everyone.
