BAH Atc
Got a question for any ATC'ers in the know. Came into BAH this morning during the morning rush, and there was one controller working ground and tower. Ground being rebroadcast on tower freq as well. It was a zoo with several Blackhawks coming and going, ATC pushback and enroute clearances being requested and given, landing clearances etc etc. The poor guy working the freq was doing an ok job considering the mess.
Why in the world do you guys not have seperate controllers using the two frequencies. Isn't that the whole idea of a ground and tower controller to prevent that sort of frequency congesation? Is it a planning thing? Why even bother having a ground frequency if it isn't going to get used?
