Depends on the type of flying you're doing. JAR-FCL puts no limits on the number of types you can have current, but JAR-OPS puts a limit of two heavy or three light types for commercial ops. At one stage I was current on five types, but only two of those were for AOC operators. In FAA land the rules are the same for part 91, but I don't know about parts 135/121.
