Original question ,
Chances of getting into Qantas with 550 tt with 300 on type , on a US issued rating , and a foreigner and prob not with English as my first language . !!!?
From what I can gather of Aussie aviation , you pretty well have to have airline pilot hours to secure an airline pilot job , (funny that ) an they are pretty wary of chappies from somewhere else , as youd expect I spose...
And although things are changing fast , the old schoolers still look for the mandatory gazillion hours bush flying , Paid ya dues...

I d find out more about securing the 300 hours before going down that road $$$ , had experience with those companies . The guy at //// sounded dodgy as and said they had a few options to fly the time , one was into Lebannon and when I asked do you have anything NOT in a war zone hehe , !! no answer Also I liked the way he asked in his broken accent how much I have to spend when I asked the cost ,haha
