Alteon Training Centre to close
Alteon Training LLC, a subsidiary of US aircraft make Boeing that operates flight simulators across the world, has announced that it is closing four training centers, including one at Luton Airport. However, it will expand its operations at Gatwick and Manchester airports.
Training centers in Long Beach, California, Dallas and Kunming, China, will close by the end of this year and another in Luton Airport will close in mid-2008. As part of the restructuring, the company said it will expand its training centers in Miami and Seattle as well as Gatwick and Manchester airports in the UK. It will also open a new training center in Shanghai, China, that will house the first Boeing 787 full-flight simulator in partnership with Shanghai Airlines.
