In fairness that is nonsense.
The Government is a shareholder, just as Ryanair and Denis O'Brien are, and
any shareholder is entitled to attempt to change the direction of a company if it is unhappy with the direction chosen by the company's management.
Fianna Fail are putting up this smoke screen of not wanting to interfere because they screwed the people of the Midwest. And it is looking like it was done deliberately as a sop to the Nordies.
