Fox news today showed live air to air of a heli rescue in Oaklahoma.
Gripping stuff.
A couple were trapped in their car, surrounded by rising floodwaters.
Life vests were dropped to them.
Then Jet/long ranger hovering with one skid UNDER the water, policeman? on the skid trying to haul an above average weight US citizen onto the skid.
Numerous attempts failed.
Co pilot leant out the door to help hang onto the guy as they flew low to shore, popping over powerlines and dumping the skid sitters in shallow water then landing themselves (a little too close if you ask me) nearby.
Classic footage, that shows the difficulty of getting a casulty out of the water, well done to all involved.
