Hi Mutt, thanks for the reply.

I am indeed a newbie. And I understand what you are saying. But what surprises me is that the CAA will convert/endorse an IAA medical for a small fee, but not the other way around - this is what I find strange!

Basically I done the CAA medical in Gatwick, passed it, and have been selected for FTE's integrated course. In the meantime, I have been in touch with Sigmar based out of Ireland/Sth Africa, and I'm doing an assessment with them shortly. However they say that they require an IAA medical (which is reimbursed if you decide to accept/are accepted).

As you can imagine, after already forking out £400, I'd rather not have to spend €600+ on another!

It just surpirses me.
