Does anyone else remember British Midland B737-200s at MME in the late 80s too? There was EI-BTR in full 'BM' colours as well as a white one with 'BM' tail and titles. If anyone has any photos of this other aircraft it'd be great to see them as there seems to be no photos of it anywhere on the net.
Didn't look very hard did you?? Here's one of mine

There are others of it on the same site too!

Whilst we're on the subject of the old British Midland, does anyone remember a day when there were FIVE BM F100s on the ground at once? I've been trying to get more information about this for years, does anyone know how I would trace any records or whatever which may have details of this?
Five would be quite something. BMI only had six Fk100s at the peak of the fleet ('JA, 'JB, 'JC, 'JD, 'WE and 'WF) and three Fk70s ('TE, 'TF and 'TG). For the most part one Fk100 used to be MME based, another at LBA, and usually at least four and often more at EMA (-AMS, -CDG, -GLA, -BFS) and one at BHX (-BRU). Must have been something seriously wrong in the system to have 5 at MME!
