Foreign Licence Validations

Hello rrndr2,
It is a nice idea to come to South Africa and fly around. We have a beautiful country. A high performance single or a twin may be a tall order.
There is however one obstacle ... the SACAA's requirements for a foreign validation are somewhat cumbersome. Go to their website: www.caa.co.za => AIC's => Index of AIC's => Then past "Validation of foreign pilot licences" into the PDF search. You will see a notice of March 2007: 30.7 of 07-03-16.
I hold USA, UK and SA licences. I know that the USA have a very relaxed approach to flying there on a foreign licence but the rest of the world does not really follow suit.
There are many good training organisation who will take you through the process.
