Lies, damned lies and statistics
Don't get your hopes up for a massive increase in Profit Share.
The interim results from last year equated to 6.16% profit on turnover whereas this year's result was 7.45% profit on turnover(KA included now). It gets a little more complicated than that as the annual result is declared 'net of recoveries' - ie, they reduce turnover by the fuel surcharge they have received. Before paranoia sets in, this has the effect of INCREASING profit share as the same profit is now divided by a smaller turnover number.
Anyway, if the 2nd half improvement is in line with the 1st half, profit share next year should be around 15 days and $6,000. Total profit for the year should be approx $6.3B.
But what would I know, I'm a 'million dollar moron'!
