I believe MO'L is delighted by EI's decision to axe SNN-LHR. Now Ryanair have a monopoly on the SNN - London market.
However, he understands that he has everything to gain from saying the contrary:
1. Gets in passengers good books
2. Gets opportunity to denigrate Government
I think it's a desperate shame for Shannon to lose this route, but I respect Aer Lingus' right to conduct their operations as they see fit. Also disappointed that EI will only introduce a couple of new routes from Belfast, the rest competing with other airlines, but this is however great news for Belfast.
