I honestly couldn't care about a pay increase anymore- its way too late anyway.

What we should be fighting for is an annual scale increment based on inflation!!!!! This will ( stating the obvious ) ensure that our conditions do not deteriorate further and nothing else.

Every single decent global company on this planet does that.
