There's no safety issue positioning flying/non flying-staff on jumpseats, because it's at the discretion of the Capt. There are still some of us for whom "team" has a meaning, where aircrew respect and help each other, may they be GR2 or checkride Capt, where simplicity is a must, because these are the real values and spirit of airmen and aeronautical staff.
Dont get me wrong but i am 100% with u that jumpseats shud be allocated to crew travelling back home but ...there are a lot of crew that drink (and i mean DRINK) alcohol before goin on leave which does become a safety issue!!!!!!
