yes, i suppose that you may be correct about the drop-off in numbers of cabin crew required from october onwards, due to a reduced flying programe on EF LHR.
however, NOTHING indicating such has been communicated to the shorthaul community (as far as i am aware (i am longhaul crew)) by either management or BASSA. so i would be inclined to take it all with a pinch of salt.
and on your second point: YES, YES, YES.
redeployed staff within the company would ALWAYS take priority over ANY new entrant to BA/BA cabin crew - and rightly so.
