Jachbauer is correct. Working for a tin-pot freight airline operating relief flights in Africa does not prepare anyone to be CEO (even acting) of a major network carrier.
So far I'm told he has made some pretty poor decisions on the people front appointing yes men such as the VP Ground Services who is completely unqualified for the job .... but ushered Mr Naf around the airport when he first arrived and told him exactly what he wanted to hear.
