Which IMHO was a valid way of dealing with non-state adversaries then, and still is.

That said, I must say that trad carrier names would have sounded better. But at least it's a huge advance on naming carriers after obscure, corrupt, sister-marrying, segregation-voting Dixiecrats who just happened to vote the Navy line every day of their worthless careers.
