The prices vary according to the brand but it will still be a lot cheaper to buy it in Dubai. You will be too busy the first few weeks to watch tv anyways. (I'm assuming your a newbie?)If they place you with a flatmate that has been here a while,chances are good your flatmate already bought a TV. Wait till you get here.
Just bring your ipod or whatever along. It helps with all the studying you will be doing......
Dont forget to buy a travel adaptor. Your appliances might not work in the plugs here. Actually come to think of it,adaptors are also a lot cheaper here,so just come on over!
