I think 3000£ for senior captain jet (10 years) is pretty lame.
I am already making more as IT contractor at 30 years. Thats why i can finance my flying (a disaster for my finances by the way - i have a JAR ATPL(A)).
Forget aerodynamics and all the stuff. Basic component of lift is money.
I am afraid high oil prices will put doom and gloom in the industry.
