Arent we surprised ???? hehe
with all the red tape that the Indian DGCA makes people go through , its really not surprising that this has happened , theres a lotta other things that they ask for that nowhere else in the world is a mandatory rule , for example out of the 600 foreigners flying in India today , let the DGCA count how many have actually done Physics and Maths at High School level , but still every indian that comes back with an FAA license who unfortunately was probably a commerce student in the past , still has to go do those 2 papers , yep the FAA certified them to fly , but the DGCA says they cant till they do Physics and Maths , its an embarrasement on the part of our system , cause they way i see it , other countries have institutions that are there to make lives easier , but unfortunately we as indians are sorry to say that its the same attitude as far as any other Govt organisation is concerned , the Indian DGCA just makes our lives more and more miserable ....................
