I wouldn't be too concerned about having "to start again". Flying is like riding a bike. You can get a bit wobbly but you never forget how to do it !!
I couldn't agree more! I started flying at 17, soloed, then didn't fly again until i was 32. (although I HAD flown the circuit millions of times in my head - mispent marriage...
)
I got back in a little Cessna 152 (shut up...
) and it all came flooding back! (not necessarily the precision & skill, i might add
, but the ability to fly a circuit without killing either myself or my instructor
)
