There is no short term fix. But you need to start at the top. Peel themselves have to commit to a massive investment to improve the infra structure, transport links and the airport itself. Then you need to question as to wheher "Hugh & the boys" are the right team for the job of driving the airport forwards. Above all you need a) patience as it will take time, & b) hope that the air travellers of the NE buy into the concept allowing services to be introduced to support the demand created. In taking a reality check, this is not going to happen overnight & Peel themselves have never shy'd away from the fact that payback for them is release of airport land 'for development'.
