Am I correct in thinking that Dr P, rejected a 3m$ lease to Iran in favour of the 1m$ in Turkey?
It might be "political". It has more "visibility" and consequently bad publicity to have an American made aircraft flying in Iran for future relations than having Iranian investment in the Emirate. There might be also other implications we don't know of.
