Ah, the Union should be sending a letter back to Mr. Rhodes explaining that it is not a temporary setback. Something explaining to him that the basic purpose of the Union is to look after the membership, not to cater to the Company. If the Company also looks after its employees, then the relationship with the Union will be good. It is that simple.
As far as negotiations....from the tone of the Union update I think I'm gonna update my logbook and start filling out applications yet again....
