it looks more that they are waiting for the new negotiations between the pilots union and DLH in November and building up a good point for negotiations.
They canīt pay less, since already it is hard to find good pilots and finding 160 pilots to operate a new fleet will not be easy.
They also want to do some changes on the working schemes for pilots and their restperiods. But that can be done with the present T&C easily.
Lufthansa Cargo is hiring already copilots from the free market, since there are no pilots from the own Lufthansa network willing to change over to Cargo widebody.
This will be a hard one for the Newco mpany.
I wonder were the new aircraft should come from. Either scaling down LH Cargo and using MD11 or leasing some B777 from GEC or some other big leasecompany.
