FR Prestwick & Leeds Bradford to Cork? Hmm. Cant ever tell with the Ryanair boys can you? Guess both routes would fit in nicely in a convenient and compensatory way for the Cork Airport Authority if the Central Wings services from Wroclaw, Krakow & Warsaw are dropped for the winter. Get them out of a little bind of being made look too foolish in the way they were blowing about Central Wings earlier in the year.

Aer Arann would hardly be too welcoming of the situation though if the rumored routes begin. In reply they might be put in the position of having to offer a full double daily EDI and a full daily LBA to try and spoil the FR move? Cant see them just rolling over to Ryanair without a response.

Have you all seen the interesting Aer Lingus bus shelter ads around Cork in recent weeks? The theme is that you as a pax bring a little bit of Cork with you to wherever you are going, eg Berlin, Warsaw etc. Different landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin and the tall building in Warsaw get all painted up in red and white which are the Cork colours. Good ads. Just a pity they were not dreamt it up a little earlier for the summer. Madrid might have had a chance to be saved. One of the best weekend capitals you can visit and it is going at the end of August! Did my bit anway, got a pal & his family of four to go there last week.

Still mighty peeved off about Madrid.
